Pre-production
Designed before anything was generatedBefore any video was generated, the film was designed: the idea, a fictional brand, a cast at seven ages, the world they live in, and a storyboard and animatic timed to the music. Every AI generation then drew on these tagged references.
01 Concept
In Ah Ma's house, the biscuit tin never held biscuits. It held the sewing kit. For forty years Wei keeps checking, until one afternoon it doesn't.
Playful nostalgia: warm 35mm domestic realism, locked-off centred frames, and match cuts across the years.
02 Cast
One family across forty years, built as reference sheets: the heroes first (Wei at 47, Ah Ma at 93), then every other age made from them. Each age carries a continuity mark: a small mole under Wei's right eye, and a jade bangle on Ah Ma's left wrist.
